A $150,000 Patek Philippe watch was the luxurious gift chosen by David Beckham for his son Brooklyn on his 21st birthday, marking the beginning of Brooklyn’s fascination and journey into the realm of watch collecting.
It seems that Brooklyn Beckham is following in his father’s footsteps to become a collector of rare and collectible watches. The son of David and Victoria Beckham, who married American actress Nicola Peltz in 2022, has built for himself an impressive collection of classic watches in recent years. In a conversation with Esquire, the 24-year-old reminisced about the favorites in his collection and what turned him into a watch enthusiast.

According to Brooklyn, it all started on his 21st birthday when his father gifted him a rose gold Patek Philippe Nautilus. The former model said, “I was having my big birthday dinner, and my dad pulled me aside. He said, kind of, ‘I have a gift for you, let me know if you like it.’ I opened it and thought, ‘Oh my God!’ Because I always wanted exactly that Patek.”
The Nautilus has been discontinued now but is still a highly coveted watch among collectors. The rose gold model can easily cost over $150,000 in the used market. “That’s my favorite watch – I wear that every day,” Brooklyn told Esquire. “When I got it, I was so stunned. I was like, ‘Wow.’ I was very surprised. And they’re incredible investments. Especially those. They’re the best investments you can get.”
In addition to the Patek, Brooklyn received the “old Steve McQueen Rolex Submariner” with the “old-school leather strap” on his 18th birthday. His collection also features various Rolexes, including a GMT-Master II Pepsi and the Batman version with a blue and black bezel. Currently, the English socialite plans to expand his collection with a white gold Patek Nautilus or a Rainbow Rolex Daytona, which his father already owns. When Esquire asked if he could persuade his former footballer father to hand it over, he joked, “Maybe I’ll have to accept it and not tell him.”
