A Ferrari F8 Spider worth around $350,000 ended up upside down and partially submerged in a lake during a stunt that quickly attracted attention on social media. The man behind it was Evgeny Chebotarev, a Russian influencer and stuntman known for producing content involving cars in unconventional situations.

This time, however, the Ferrari supercar was not used to demonstrate speed, acceleration or track performance. Instead, the Ferrari became part of the setting for a jet ski stunt.

According to Luxurylaunches, Chebotarev attached cables to the wheels of the F8 Spider and used a crane to lift the vehicle. The car was then completely turned upside down before being placed in the water, with part of its bodywork remaining submerged.

The idea was to use the Ferrari’s underside as the central element of the recording.

720-hp Ferrari F8 Spider was turned upside down

The choice of car makes the scene even more unusual. The Ferrari F8 Spider is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine capable of producing 720 hp.

According to figures cited by Luxurylaunches, the supercar can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph — approximately 96 km/h — in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph, equivalent to around 340 km/h.

With weight-reduction equipment, the model has a dry weight of approximately 3,086 pounds, or around 1,400 kg. Another highlight is its retractable hardtop, whose mechanism takes just 14 seconds to complete the operation.

None of these performance characteristics, however, took center stage in the recording.

With the vehicle upside down in the lake, its underside was used as part of the jet ski stunt. The contrast is striking: an area developed by Ferrari engineers with aerodynamic performance in mind ended up serving a completely different purpose from the one for which it was designed.

Video surpassed 218,000 likes

The reaction was immediate. According to Luxurylaunches, the video posted by Chebotarev accumulated more than 218,000 likes and exceeded 4,200 comments just a few days after being uploaded to Instagram.

The reach can also be explained by the size of the influencer’s audience. Chebotarev has approximately 3.27 million followers on the platform and has turned vehicle-related stunts into a recurring series.

The recording involving the Ferrari F8 Spider was reportedly identified by him as stunt number 155 in the series.

An even more unusual detail reportedly emerged after the stunt. Citing information published by Gazeta, Luxurylaunches says the team found a live crayfish inside the partially flooded Ferrari cabin.

Who is Evgeny Chebotarev?

Productions of this scale naturally raise another question: how does the influencer finance content involving such expensive cars?

Luxurylaunches reports that Chebotarev began his professional career working in landscaping and preparing land for construction. He later sold the rights to one of his first stunt videos to American buyers.

He also opened a Hollywood-inspired restaurant in Rostov and currently runs FlyCar, a company dedicated to importing vehicles from different international markets.

According to the publication, Chebotarev himself has said that he spends millions of rubles on his productions.

The episode also attracts attention because of Ferrari’s well-known concern over how its brand and vehicles are presented. The Italian manufacturer has previously been involved in disputes over uses considered inappropriate involving its symbols and controversial modifications to its cars.

In this case, the source provides no information about any action taken by the automaker against the influencer.

What remains is an image that is difficult to ignore: a supercar worth approximately $350,000, with 720 hp and a top speed of around 340 km/h, suspended from a crane, turned upside down and partially submerged in a lake — a scene more than sufficient to turn another Chebotarev production into a topic of discussion on social media.
