The renowned Argentine soccer player, Lionel Messi, and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, recently invested $10.8 million in a luxurious beachfront property in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in a deal that remained off the conventional market. The transaction was reported by The Real Deal.
Messi’s new mansion is situated at 91 Compass Lane, within the gated Bay Colony community, spanning 3,000 square meters and offering eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, along with a spacious three-car garage. Additionally, the property features a stunning pool and two private boat docks.

It’s worth noting that the house conveniently sits near the Inter Miami soccer stadium. Messi, who clinched the World Cup with the Argentine national team in December, joined Inter Miami in July. The team is owned by a group of notable proprietors, including David Beckham, Jorge, and José Mas, among other investors.
Built in 1988, the residence is situated on a 1,780-square-meter lot on a quiet cul-de-sac, with 51 meters of waterfront frontage. The house was meticulously designed by renowned designer Lori Morris and was featured in Florida Design magazine.
Upon entering the house, visitors are greeted by an impressive 8-meter-high vaulted ceiling. Furthermore, the property includes a chef’s kitchen, a gym with a spa, an entertainment area, a home office, and a stunning 487-square-meter master suite.
Messi’s representatives in this transaction were Samuel and Donna Simpkin of Compass. The sellers, John and Stacy Dickerson, acquired the property for $9 million in May 2022, represented by Jennifer Abbott of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
